The Siouxland Street Project

Posted .

SHIP, in partnership with the Sioux City Police Department and Downtown Partners, is proud to present The Siouxland Street Project – a community effort focused on addressing the issue of vagrancy in Siouxland.

SHIP has added a new Siouxland Street Project section to its website: This is a one-stop-shop to stay updated on the progress of this project. Visitors to the page can download minutes from the Street Project community meetings and view separate pages for each of its six subcommittees (Super Shelter, Detox, Education and Community Awareness, Organizational Reporting & Retooling, Research and Screening & Intake). Each subcommittee page features a roster of committee members, as well as meeting minutes and a schedule of upcoming meetings.

As the Project grows, so too will the webpages. We will add articles, resource guides and other materials that will be helpful in charting the progress and discussion of this issue locally.
