<image:title>News & Events - SHIP Board Member and State Senator Rocky De Witt</image:title>
<image:caption>SHIP Board member, State Senator Rocky De Witt, passed away on June 25, 2025 after battling pancreatic cancer. Senator De Witt was appointed to the SHIP Board by the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors in 2022, and stayed on the Board through his transition to State Senator that same year. He served on the SHIP Board up until his death. Rocky was a huge asset to SHIP at the legislature, staying in constant contact and keeping staff informed on the bills relating to Early Childhood Iowa, and fighting for Siouxland’s children and families. He will be greatly missed! Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. Read Senator De Witt’s obituary here and an “in memoriam” article here.</image:caption>
