He is responsible for the management, guidance and direction for all programs and services provided by and authorized by SHIP. Graduating from East High School, Matt is a lifelong Sioux City resident. He graduated from Morningside College in 2000 with a degree in mass communication and business. He worked as an account executive at Cable One Advertising for six years prior to coming to SHIP in 2006. His role at SHIP from 2006 – 2012 was as a contract coordinator and Early Childhood Iowa Director. Matt finds working at SHIP an enjoyable and satisfying experience because the funding and programs make a positive difference in people’s lives. Matt resides in Morningside with his wife Shauna and two children, Mia and Jack.

She was previously employed at Metz Baking Co. as a Human Resources Assistant and Accounting Clerk. Before that, Cheryl had been employed by Equifax, Inc. as an Investigative Reporter and Cargill, Inc. as an Accounting Clerk. Cheryl, originally from Hinton, lived in Omaha, NE. for 10 years and West Des Moines, IA for five years before returning to the Sioux City area. She is married to Paul J. Engle and has four children, Tiffany, Cari, Paul Matthew and Andrew.

She has 22 years of administrative, office and accounting experience prior to joining the agency. While working, she also attended classes in accounting and bookkeeping at Western Iowa Tech Community College. At SHIP she is responsible for general administrative services including payroll, accounting, employee benefits, contract record keeping, and general clerical duties. Lifelong residents of Sioux City, Nancy and her husband, Ken, are empty nesters. They have two daughters and five grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys golf, working in the yard.

Her responsibilities include program coordination, contract writing, facilitating community meetings and reporting to state officials on program progress. She joined SHIP in November 2006. Erin graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a BA degree in Organizational Communication. Previously, she worked in the IT services industry and held other customer service oriented positions. Originally from Sergeant Bluff, IA, Erin now resides in Hinton, IA with her family: husband Kris, sons Bode and Brooks, and daughter Brinkley.

She joined SHIP in May, 2012. Her responsibilities include administrative services, accounting, and general clerical duties. She was previously employed with Siouxland Telephone Company for the past 20 years as a Commissions Coordinator and Administrative Assistant. Kim is a lifelong resident of Sioux City. She has two grown sons and four grandchildren. She loves gardening, and attending all her grandchildren’s activities.

email@example.com JoAnn Gieselman is the Program Coordinator for Dakota County Connections with Siouxland Human Investment Partnership. JoAnn’s primary responsibility as the Dakota County Connections Coordinator is to support agencies and individuals in our community in ways that they can collectively work together to address our community’s needs. JoAnn Gieselman graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 1980. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education. Throughout her career JoAnn has taken additional graduate courses in Behavioral Disabilities and Social work from both the University of Nebraska and the University of Iowa. JoAnn has been an active part of Dakota County Connections since it’s conception and truly enjoys the wonderful opportunity she has to work with the many industries and inspirational individuals and agencies in our area.

Her responsibilities include preparation, renewal, amendment, monitoring, and outcome measurement for Early Childhood Iowa as well as advocating for early childhood systems and programs at the state legislative level. Kerri graduated from the University of South Dakota with B.S. in Psychology and a specialization in Disaster Response. Prior to SHIP she advocated in numerous capacities, for several different agencies in the United States. She also completed service in AmeriCorps. She resides in Sioux City with her family: husband Brett, step-children Devon and Cami, children Henry and Cadence, and Pixie, their Miniature Doberman Pinscher.
