Coordinated Entry (CE) helps communities assess the needs of individuals, prioritize their need for housing and the type of housing that would best serve them. Assessment and placement is based on vulnerability and severity of their needs. Often, individuals face long waiting times to receive assistance or are screened out of needed assistance. Utilizing a standardized intake process, access to services occurs more quickly. Coordinated Entry also offers evidence of gaps in service to more effectively eliminate homelessness.
